Grafton Village Cheese is part of the nonprofit Windham Foundation of Grafton, Vermont, whose mission is to promote the vitality of Grafton and Vermont's rural communities through its philanthropic and educational programs and its subsidiaries whose operations contribute to these endeavors.

The Foundation’s affiliated for-profit businesses, including Grafton Village Cheese, The Old Tavern at Grafton (a fine country inn and restaurant), the Grafton Village Nursery and the Retreat Farm, operate to further this mission directly, and their earned income assists in funding Foundation programs.
